Our Mandate

Power Ecosystems Inc. is a team of energy efficiency experts who specialize in saving you money through the use of alternative energy options. Together with our partners, we are able to find energy savings throughout your organization and help you to save money and the environment. We specialize in energy efficiency audits, Cogeneration, fixed price natural gas contracts, fixed priced electricity contracts as well as LEED and BOMA Go Green designations. Our mission is to achieve a positive triple bottom line for our customers and stakeholders with energy efficient technologies that enhance shareholder value in an environmentally and socially responsible way.

Experience

  • Mechanical systems (maintenance and repairs of heating and domestic hot water boilers, HVAC units and related equipment).
  • Complete turn-key boiler and mechanical system installation, commercial highrise residential and industrial.
  • Retrofit or re-design of equipment and heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and lighting systems to permanently reduce energy consumption.
  • Computerized consumption analysis programs for gas, hydro and water.
  • Energy management systems.
  • Boiler retrofit programs.
  • Mechanical room plumbing.
  • Water treatment programs for hydronic heating systems, fan coils, domestic heat exchangers and domestic storage tanks.

LEADERSHIP
  • Dan Cloutier- President of Power Ecosystems Inc. and has significant expertise in incubating high-growth technology-based companies. As part of the management team that successfully took Vicom Multimedia public in 1995, Dan was the key innovator in the development and commercialization of SmartCatalog™. Dan has also served in senior management and executive capacities with SourceSys (formerly DataCat International of Houston, FinTech Solutions now Sylogist (TSX: SYZ), and Quorum Information Technologies (TSX: QIS). Dan’s first involvement with combined heat and power solutions was as a volunteer Board member of Cardel Place where Dan spearheaded pursuing the first Gold Leed designation in Alberta.

    Dan is a native Albertan with a myriad of volunteer experience going back to the early 80’s with Clean Calgary, the Calgary Field Naturalists, to the American Marketing Association where he was presented a Special Merit Award to present day where in 2009 Dan was named the Calgary Northstars Hockey Associations Volunteer of the Year.
  • Doug Kirkhope - General Manager of Power Generation Business for Cummins Western Canada. Doug has over 20 years of experience in the power generation business. He has a professional engineering designation in mechanical engineering. Doug’s current business portfolio is approximately $70 million (businesses servicing and supporting Western Canada).
  • John Riddell - Architect AAA, MRAIC, MAIBC, is a Founding Principal and President of Riddell Kurczaba Architecture Engineering Interior Design Ltd. John has been actively involved over his career on several prominent Boards and Associations in the local community. His appointments have included Treasurer of the Alberta Aerospace Association; Past Public Representative to the Alberta Dental Association Board; Past Board Member of the Canadian Mental Health Association - Southern Region; and Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Calgary (Downtown) and Kiwanis Music Festival.
  • Bill Tempany - Bill has over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience and has been called a serial entrepreneur. Bill is currently CEO, Director and Chairman of the board of AeroMechanical Services Ltd. (AMS), a TSX-V (symbol AMA) company and is active in the day to day business. AMS is a company which provides data and voice communications equipment and services to the global aviation industry.
